2008 Summer Games

The 2008 Summer Games – EASTERN DIVISION

The Red Hot Regional Showdown Champion will be invited to the WPT Celebrity Invitational, and also win their Region Team an opportunity to play for a seat in the World Poker Tour North American Poker Championship

Season 11 Terms and Conditions apply.

SEASON 11 CHAMPIONSHIP ON JULY 26, 2008 will determine which region will claim the Gold Medal and title of "Best Red Hot Poker Tour Region" in the RED HOT REGIONAL SHOWDOWN (Tournament of Champions 11).

RED HOT REGION SHOWDOWN. Each region will have a Team of sixteen (16) players in the Red Hot Regional Showdown in Toronto. The individual "Gold Medal" winner of the Red Hot Regional Showdown determines the Region Championship Team.

SEASON 11 CHAMPION: The individual winner of the Red Hot Regional Showdown is considered the Season 11 Champion and will receive the trophy and jersey that come with being a Red Hot Champion, and also be invited to the star-studded WPT Celebrity Invitational, in Los Angeles, California, March 2009. The WPT Celebrity Invitational tournament is a private free roll put on by the WPT and includes a select group of Hollywood Stars and Poker pros. The ONLY way to get into the tournament is to be invited by the World Poker Tour.

REGION PLAYOFF: The winning Region Championship Team will play a playoff on August 9, 2008, in their home region, where the winner is headed to the World Poker Tour North American Poker Championship, October 10-18, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada!

The Season 11 Champion will enter their Region Playoff for the WPT NAPC seat with a starting chip stack of 8000. The player that finishes second/next (from the same Region Team) will start with 6000, while all other players will start with 4000.

QUALIFYING FOR A REGION TEAM. There are three ways to secure a spot on a Region Team: be one of the top ten (10) players with the most points in your region for the season, be in the top five (5) of the Regional Qualifier tournament (July 19) or win a Meal Ticket entry. The breakdown of how to secure your spot is below. Four players on each Team will have an opportunity to start the Red Hot Regional Showdown with “bonus” chips added to their 4000 starting stack.
